Do you picture your book here?
Because I do.
What Triangles and Book Coaches Have in Common
Did you know that triangles are one of the strongest shapes?
No, seriously. This isn’t some weird geometry flex. Triangles can’t be deformed without changing the length of their sides. They’re the unsung heroes of bridges, buildings, and everything else that doesn’t collapse under pressure.
So, why am I talking about shapes on a writing page?
Because, good stories and good writers need the same thing triangles have:
Stability. Strength. And Efficient Force Distribution (which is just a fancy way of saying support that actually holds up).
When you have a strong support structure, you don’t crumble under the pressure of “write the perfect book”. Writers need someone who helps them carry the creative load, keeps things balanced, and points out where the weight is uneven.
That’s what a book coach does.
I’m the stabilizing triangle in your writing journey. I’m the piece that helps you handle the pressure, stay upright, and keep your story from collapsing into a creative puddle.
Stability
You’ve got a story, but no roadmap. You start writing, stop writing, start writing again, forget what your character’s coffee preference is, wonder where your ducks are and why you have 60 drunken raccoons in a tree. Suddenly, it is six months later and you’ve opened 47 tabs of “research” with no progress on that first draft.
I help plan, organize, and actually finish what you’ve started.
We set goals. We build a timeline. We keep you accountable without your creativity jumping into a black hole.
I’m the best friend who doggedly reminds you that “someday” isn’t a deadline.
The Project Management
Efficient Force Distribution
Real Talk: writing a book will mess with your head. One minute you are in love with your pages; the next, you’re staining the pages with tears, wondering why you decided to do this.
I’m here for that part, too. I help you manage the mental load. You know; the doubt, the overwhelm, the “I’m not a real writer” moments. I believe in your story, even when you temporarily forget why you started.
Because you don’t just need support for your book.
You need support for your brain while writing the book.
Developmental Editor
Strength
This is where the magic and tough love happen.
I look at your story’s structure, characters, pacing, emotional depth, and all the other creative writing buzz words that make up a story.
Why?
Because those buzz words are all the big-picture stuff that decides whether readers stay hooked or quietly wanted off to fold laundry.
I’ll ask questions that make you pause mid-sentence and mutter, “…huh, yeah, that’s a good point.” Not mean questions, but meaningful ones. The ones that dig into your characters’ motivations, tighten your story logic, and uncover what you are really trying to say.
I don’t tell you what to write. I help you discover the version of your story that actually works.
Less red pen of doom. More light bulbs moments.
Emotional Support
Project management keeps you moving.
Book Coaching is the triangle that keeps your creative structure standing.
Developmental Editing keeps your story strong.
Emotional Support keeps you standing.
Put those together, and you’ve got a foundation that can handle the weight of the whole damn book.
My promise as a book coach:
I wish I could promise that your book will land a big-time publishing deal with streaming adaptation starring someone who looks suspiciously like your main character.
But that would be sneaky. And gross.
Here’s what I can promise.
I’ll help reduce the stress of writing by giving you structure, perspective, and a solid foundation for your creative process. I’ll ask questions, a lot of them, celebrate your progress, and hold space for the messy middle. Because that is where growth happens.
I’ll be your triangle and give you strength, stability, and the kind of support that actually carries the weight of telling a story that matters.
Writing is personal. It’s vulnerable.
Sometimes, it’s downright painful.
Through all of that, I’ll be your ultimate hype girl; cheering you on, keeping you grounded, and reminding you that your voice deserves to be heard.
That’s my promise: honest guidance, steady support, and unwavering belief in your story.
And you.
I love stories, and the world needs more of them.
Your story matters.
It’s time to tell it.
Curtis S. Says -
“From my first session with Kyle, it was clear that she always asks the right questions, questions that gently directed me to deeper and more intricate layers of my dark fantasy novel. Working with her, I was able to craft a compelling outline that captured the essence of my protagonist's emotional arc and the motivations that drives it. Her energy and passion for storytelling sustained me through the journey to find my best novel. Kyle creates a safe space for me to explore my ideas, encouraging me to push my boundaries and helping me get into my characters' heads. Thanks to her guidance, I now have confidence in a solid outline for my novel.”
