Story Sidekick - Ongoing Coaching

Story Sidekick is ongoing, monthly support for writers who have already worked with me, usually following a manuscript read or other large project. It is designed to provide ongoing support through the revision process.

It is offered on a limited basis and depends on availability. It’s meant for writers who want continuity as they work, instead of a quick answer or a fixed plan.

Best for writers who:

  • have already worked with me and want continued support

  • are revising a manuscript after a full developmental edit

  • are drafting the manuscript after creating their blueprint

  • prefer to work with someone familiar with their story

What you get

Story Sidekick

Investment: $300

  • Goal-Setting Call
    A short call at the beginning to talk about your revision goals and set a clear submission schedule. If you sign up for multiple months, the submission deadline and call schedule stay the same each month. Held at the start of the service. 15 minutes per month

  • Monthly Review of up to 25 Pages
    Submit new or revised pages once per month by the agreed deadline. Feedback written directly on the pages. This is not line editing or polish. Pages are reviewed once per month during the active period.

  • Short Editorial Letter
    A concise read of the pages you submitted, with one to two actionable next steps to help guide your revision work between reviews. Delivered within 10 business days of receiving your pages.

  • One Coaching Call
    A dedicated call to talk through the feedback and ask questions. One 60-minute call scheduled after receiving feedback. 1 per month. 60 minutes.

  • Ongoing Email Support
    Ongoing email support for questions and continuity. Any questions that take more than 10 minutes of research will be answered at the next coaching call. Available throughout the active period.

  • Audio Recording
    1 per month. Delivered within 2 business days.

  • Service Window
    The service window for monthly book coaching is 30 calendar days.

Story Sidekick Plus

Investment: $450

  • Everything Included in Story Sidekick
    All of the support, structure, and continuity from the base tier, including monthly page review, editorial guidance, scheduled conversations, and email access.

  • Expanded Monthly Page Review up to 50 pages
    You can submit up to 50 pages per month. Pages may be submitted across two milestones. Pages are reviewed during the active month, according to the agreed submission schedule.

  • Two Coaching Calls
     Dedicated calls to talk through the feedback and ask questions.2 per month. 60 minutes.

  • Audio Recording
    2 per month. Delivered within 2 business days.

  • Service window
    The service window for monthly book coaching is 30 calendar days. 

What This Looks Like in Practice

This service works best during the revision process and questions are coming up more frequently, but it can be used for any part of the writing process.

A Note on Availability

Both Story Sidekick options are intentionally limited. Ongoing work requires attention and continuity, and I only take on as many writers as I can support on a monthly basis.

What this isn’t

  • A substitute for a full manuscript read

  • Line-by-line editing or copyediting

  • Therapy or emotional processing

  • Open-ended access without structure

  • A guarantee of outcomes, representation, or publication
